COULD IT GET ANY HOTTER! 87 DEGREES AND 65 % HUMIDITY... needless to say my flat iron doesnt help AT ALL here!
26 hours is what it took to get here. NC to NYC (1.45 hrs). NYC to London(8 hrs.... where of COURSE there was a delay... thank you Heathrow for once again proving to the world, you can NEVER be on time!) Then London to Sinapore about 16 hours)... not including all of my layovers!!! So yes it was a bit of a journey... the NYC to London leg of the trip was a bit rough... lets just say... merlot after beer at JFK and a ride full of turbulence AND plane food.... NO BUENO... :) I also realize that I can be quoted for saying that I LOVE airplane food. I retract my statement... YUK! So who is going to make the journey now? haha! It was worth it though.
I realize that it has taken me a fewwwww days to get on here and call some of you people (sorry nana and pop... can someone call her so she doesnt worry... thanks) But here we go with this blggin stuff!!!

That..... that up there... that is the house... (and my thumb)

ok... so I landed... (late) at 9:35am on sunday morning! After going through security, I had to go through this temp check thing, for that stupid pig flu then on to immigration, where they didnt seem toooo stoked to see an american! haha Ruby met me at the airport and we headed off. We got to the house about 20 minutes later... how in the world an island that is 16 miles by 14 miles can take 20 minutes to go like 6 miles... yeah u should see all the stuff and PEOPLE that are here! Singapore is BEAUTIFUL! Very clean, with LOTS of flowers and chinese looking stuff! haha...except for the American Embassy that looks like a compound from WW2...way to go america, way to make people feel welcome! annnyways.. we got to the house, where Angelita (housekeeper), Aiden and Julie were waiting. Julie was the previous AuPair that was leaving that day. I went upstairs, and Julie helped me unpack and show me around. My room is on the second floor with a HUGE floor to ceiling window over looking the garden and pool. Then next to me is Leighla's room when she is here from the UK, and across the hall is Aiden. Michael and Ruby's room is down the hall, with an extra bedroom and inhouse studio on the third floor. Then first floor has the piano, living room, dining room, more bedrooms and kitchen. Attached to that is the kitchen that they use to cook... then attached to that is Angelita's room!
Aiden and I have had a busy two full days. Yesterday was our first official nanny and lil man day.... I woke up at 7... yes me... had a redbull then woke him up for english pourage & fruit. We then took a walk around the block... took a bath and played for an hour.
He has a bottle, then naps for about an hour or hour and a half. Today we went swimming... He learned how to get out of the pool all on his own! He's napping now, and has been asleep for about an hour and half. He goes to sleep very well... maybe cause i keep him soooo active so by the time I give him his bottle... hes OUT!
While he's sleeping, I shower, check my email, clean up his toys(so he can throw them again)... oh and EATTTTT!!!!
Speaking of eating...the food here is AWESOME! Im not TOO sure what I have been eating ... meat wise.. but its spicey, served with rice...and good... bad for the belly... but GOOOOOD!!!!
Ruby and Michael have been helping me order food, and Michael cooked last night. I showed them all of my picturees of my family and friends and they were amazed as to how many family members... and dogs there were! Ruby is conservative but nice and has a good sense of humour... Michael is hilarious! Very into music, he comes home each night and plays on one of his guitars! Super funny and down to earth... oh and before I go... aiden has the cutest little anklet with bells on it so we dont loose him... and these little shoes he wears when we go out so each time he steps its squeeks... (i dont care what u say keenan its cute) hahah!
Welp its 5:15 and i only have about 20 minutes until I have to wake Aiden up... soooo Im going to go shower... and get some food going! Ill write some more tomorrow after we go down to Orchard Road... the Melrose/ Rodeo of Singapore... amazing shops and food yummm!
LOVE YOU ALLL!!!!!!
