Today Ruby's parents were in town from Malaysia. So I learned a few more Chinese Mandarin words... Ne Hau Ma (Hello, How are you), Nina (fine), Kong Kong (Grandpa)... a few more but I already forgot.... Ha! But I am going to try to keep learning some, the first aupair Alex took Mandrin classes, so maybe Ill do it on Rosetta Stone after I finish my french Rosetta Stone.
Aiden woke up, a little stubborn, then ate his weight in fruit but REFUSED to eat his pourage... so I introduced him to the wonderful world of Cinnamon Toast!!! Just like I used to eat like 90 slices a day... butter the bread... add the cinnamon and sugar and toast.... He loveeedddd it!
We headed off to Great World City Towers to the Behringer office, as aiden slept on the way.... and Michael wanted to take him to lunch. There Aiden proceeded to walk around in his squeeky shoes playing with all of the guitars.... I had a couple hours to kill so I walked around downtown, didnt make it down to Orchard again... but met a friend over a glass of wine & a salad.
Dinner.... yeah ummm this is where it gets interesting. Chinese greens, rice (of course), Lotus Wonton homemad soup, egg with onion and pepper for the rise and oh yes the meat......Word to the wise... if youre ever enjoying what youre eating, but not sure what it is.... for the love of everything DO NOT ASK! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!! In my case it was the knuckles and toes of boar.... I mean basically pork but... yep knuckles and toes... well referred to this evening as the HOOVES ( I was wondering what the pointy bone was). I was in mid bite when I said "this is soooo good & spicey" and Michael responded with, yeah I like the knuckles better as he chuckled... That would be when I froze with a laugh... and he said "i dont think he minds if I enjoy it... hes dead." (that was kinda funny) And at that point it was ice cream time! Dinner was really good.....The food that they make here is amazing, I guess this is what I need an open mind for.
As for my tummy, still upset from the water... but the cramping is getting better.
After dinner we all watched "I am Legend" until it was time for Aidens bath... then the bottle and bed. Bed was soooo cute and I actually got a pic once he was asleep. Once the lights turn off he screams.... with the lungs of an opera singer.... so I turn the lights on and went over to rub his back.... he put his little hand through one of the slots in his crib and help my hand until he fell asleep... this is what it looked like....it was the sweetest thing. Everytime I tried to leave he held on a little tighter... what a doll.
Tonight... Shrek 3 before a little family guy and bed... maybe some skyping... then tomorrow I only have to work until noon... maybe off to the horse race to see my friend Sammi beat all the boys... but the Sammi is coming over for dinner.... Michael and Ruby invited her... then OUT ON THE TOWN WE GO! You know I realized... I was quite the social butterfly in the states... but this girl has gone international.... HELLO SINGAPORE HOPE YOURE READY!!!!!!!
